2001 SAAB 9-5 Aero Wagon

Exterior color is silver. The interior is dark gray in good condition and very clean. The car is smoke and pet free and has been in the family since 2005. Both key fobs and the manual set are with the car.

Mileage is just under 200K miles.

Main features include:
Leather interior
2.3L turbo 4 cylinder
5-speed automatic transmission
Ventilated front seats
Heated front and rear seats

The Areo versions come fairly well equipped with performance brakes and a slightly firmer suspension than the non-Aero models

The car is stock and comes with full maintenance records since the summer of 2005. We purchased the car with around 50,000 miles on it

Maintenance of note that has been performed in the recent past includes:
Coolant replaced - SAAB spec fluids
New power steering fluid - Pentosin CHF
Rear spring spacers to bring the car back to the original factory ride height
Rear suspension rebuilt with adjustable cross arms
New thermostat
New fuel filter
New air filter
Front sub-frame bushings (polyurethane)
New brakes, rotors, and brake lines
SAAB SID display replaced and the HVAC display has had its display connector replaced
Stepper-motor replaced in HVAC unit
Turbo is rebuilt with a Kinugawa 15T Billet compressor wheel and an improved style of rebuild kit
New front bearings (SKF bearings)
ABS module rebuilt
All dash lights work
New exhaust from the flex pipe back - Piping is all the proper OEM diameter
New rod bearings
New piston rings (pistons inspected before reinstallation)
Cylinder head resurfaced/lapped
Valves reground/lapped and new valve seals installed
Newer Cams with ~100K miles on them were installed
Several lifters were replaced and all were cleaned/primmed before reinstallation
Timing chain and all timing components replaced
Air filter, oil filter, and oil are all new
New plugs
All motor mounts are new and the transmission thrust rod is the polyurethane version (stiff)
Fog lights properly remounted to the lower front bumper
Intake snorkel (behind the front grill) is the large diameter version used by SAAB on later models
Theft alarm has been rebuilt with new capacitors and batteries - Still a bit flaky at times
New coolant temp sender
New oil pressure sender
New serpentine belt
Stepper motor replaced in HVAC unit
MAF cleaned
Starter motor disassembled and the armature inspected and cleaned.
All seat heaters work as do the ventilation fans for the front seats
Plus other items that have been cleaned, refurbished or replaced

A great deal of other work has been performed on the car over the past two years of the refurbishment project. The car does not leak oil or other fluids. Shocks on the car are Bilsteins (B6). The tires have some miles on them but are serviceable.

The car has never been in an accident but spent several years at Central Washington University sitting in the sun. Clearcoat is missing in a few areas and there are several door dings.

Known flaws include:
Door dings and aged paint
Paint damage on bottom of tailgate (Had been rubbing on the top of the bumper)
Windshield is aged
Clearcoat damage on front of roof and on the rear wing

The car runs and drives exceptionally well and should provide many years of reliable and enjoyable service for its next owner.

The car is located in the Grand Coulee area. If this ad is up it is still available. If you are interested please contact me by phone, text, or email. For text and email, please include your name and contact information so that I can differentiate your message from the various spam/scam contacts that have become a bit common when using Craigslist. Five O 9 475 Thirty-four Ninety-six

If you have the ability to make a FaceTime call I can give you a quick walk around the car and we can try to get you as informed about the SAAB as possible.

Price is $4950.
