1988 KLR 650. It runs well and is a blast to ride! The "mean green" has served me well and is most definitely a unique KLR. It does have some small issues but has also had a LOT of work put into it. Lots of aftermarket parts as well. I am happy to let you test drive it as long as you have your ENDORSEMENT/permit and I have cash in hand! Please contact me with any questions you may have! Call, text, or email is great, but texting would be best for first contact to set up a call or to see the bike. I hate to sell but I have too many and college is expensive haha.

Pros

-Nelson Rigg Deluxe Adventure Dry Saddlebags Black. Great condition!
-has a quad fender bag that I use as a tank bag. Actually works quite well.
-Also have an action packer rigged to fit on the back for more storage if needed
-Tusk Pannier Racks
-Switched out rear shock spring for Top Gun Rear Shock Spring White 7.4 kg/mm (stiffer for carrying more wight and for harder riding)
-Acerbis Super Motard Front Fender Black
-SW-MOTECH Aluminum Skid Plate. Not currently on the bike.
-Put on a Neutron Gripper Seat Cover
-has a Tusk Low-Profile Magnetic Drain Bolt to work better with the skid plate
-new water pump gasket
-Put on Tusk Billet Race Foot Pegs! they work so much better than the factory pegs and give better grip and support for long rides
-Tusk Folding Shift Lever. Allows you to wear riding boots and shift much eaiser
-Installed All Balls Front Brake Master Cylinder Rebuild Kit. Front breaks are still pretty soft but that is just how the older KLR's ride.
- Chatter Box USB Power Cord (not yet installed)
-replaced front tire. has just over a season on it and still over 90% tred!
-has Aluminum frame hand guards that have worked very well and have saved the handlebar levers from breaking on multiple occasions.
-Handle bar pad
-put new grips on as well
-has had the doohickey replaced as well. If you know KLR's you know that is important. Will run much longer and prevent problems with the idler shaft and spring.

Cons

-Needs new rear tire
-there are some small wiring issues
-break light is always on
-blinkers currently don't work. the lights and wiring are good but the switch needs fixed.
-electric start button works! however you need to press with some pressure. working on fixing that so may not even be an
issue soon!
-the exhaust manifold is warped and needs replaced. Still runs well however it is not something you want to leave that way forever.
- paint and plastics are not in the best shape. I actually really like the look it has but it is kind of rough. Not rusted though so that is good!
-gas cap could use a new seal

Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to make an offer! I also might throw in some riding gear. Riding season is here and gonna be a good one! Thank's for looking!!!
