I am a collector of early Pentaxes. My preference is for black cameras but I have collected chrome ones as well while waiting to find black bodies. I have managed to replace most of my chrome bodies and now I have run out of display space – I just can’t keep them all!
This H1a (mfd. 1962-1968) was CLA’d and new curtains installed recently by Eric Hendrickson. The Super-Takumar 35mm f/3.5 lens is in excellent condition in every way and comes with a Pentax clamp on metal lens hood. The hood is for the 28mm since the one for 35mm is extremely hard to fine. There is very little difference in size between them and the square look is so much sexier than some generic round hood.
