The footprint shape is engineered to provide direct response to steering inputs while also efficiently evacuating water from the contact patch to resist hydroplaning. High-angle sipes in the shoulders optimize handling in snowy or icy conditions, while horizontal sipes in the center of the tread enhance longitudinal traction for maximum braking and acceleration.
