This barrel handling device is made in the USA by Vestil Mfg Co, Angola IN.
It is designed to attach to fork lift and drive up to the barrel, lower the device over the barrel, then back away and capture the barrel at 90 degrees, parallel with the deck. The attachment may also be used to grab a barrel stored on it's side, the lifting bars will slide under the barrel. This can be used to move barrels or pour product from barrels.
There is a remote lanlard which when pulled, unlocks the auto locking mechanism.
This is a heavy duty piece of kit and about half price of new.
Story: Purchased for a small manufacturing business and not used. Stored under cover for 8 years.
Like new with minimal use or wear.
