tall on upon a tin box stage is an African American ( black ) man in colorful minstrel costume and hat, with loosely jointed arms, hips and knees. When a key is wound the man “Dances” up, down, and around on a metal rod.
The underside of his stage is marked: "Alabama Coon Jigger, Trademark, Ferdinand Strauss Inc, Pat. May 24,1910,Oct. 15, 1918.
