PT Activities Assistant needed to join the Life Care CDA Team

S & Sun  8-4:30

Healthcare background preferred, but not required.

Position Summary

The Activities Assistant assists the Director of Activities in planning, organizing, developing, and directing quality activities for pients, ensuring th the recreional, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs of each pient is met in accordance with all applicable laws, regulions, and Life Care standards.

Educion, Experience, and Licensure Requirements

• High school gradue or equivalent
• Prior experience with gerirics preferred

Specific Job Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in current Ste with sisfactory driving record per Life Care standards
• Demonstred proficiency in arts/crafts/music is preferred
• Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulions, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility
• Ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
• Perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: pient rights, and safety and sanition
• Maintains professional working relionships with all associes, vendors, etc.
• Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential informion
• Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
• Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and completes mandory Code of Conduct and other approprie compliance training

Essential Functions

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluing quality activity programs (includes entertainment, exercise, relaxion, and educion)
• Appropriely and descriptively chart pient progress and behavior
• Escort pients to and from activities
• Make regular in room visits to pients uninterested or unable to participe in group activities
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive titude towards pients
• Assist in the evacuion of pients
• Demonstre dependable, regular tendance
• Concentre and use reasoning skills and good judgment
• Communice and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
• Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
