I’ve been using this car for my daily commuter and just took it on a road trip from Spokane to Bellevue and back. It runs and drives well, and handled the speeds and hills easily. Averages ~25 mpg. All new tires at 96,176 miles ($60 each). Interior has minimal wear. Power windows, power locks, AC, heater, radio, and cruise all still work. Seems to be in great shape for its age.
I bought this car 3 years ago at 72,864 miles from UGM Motors in Spokane. They do a mechanical check and repairs, as needed. A picture of their report is included. I have the Carfax from then too with nothing interesting reported, except that it is a former rental and has two previous owners. About a year after I bought it, there was a “leak in a soft plug” (that’s what they told me…) and needed towed because it was losing water. A $0.37 new plug fixed the problem, and I’ve had no trouble since.
I’m only selling it because I will be driving a lot more for work and am switching to a hybrid to save gas money. That said, I have a few minor issues to disclose so there are no surprises:
1. The dome light stays on sometimes once the doors are closed. I think it might be a door sensor or something, but I just solved it by removing the light bulb.
2. Some of the dash lights don’t always work, especially whatever is behind part of the speedometer. Turning the dash lights up brighter helps to see how fast you are going at night.
3. The passenger side mirror has a hairline crack from top to bottom.
4. Part of the dash is pulling up, which can be seen from both inside and outside the car. Paint and seals are starting to look aged. Otherwise, it really doesn’t seem to have any old car issues.
Will follow WA DOL guidance for buying/selling: https://dol.wa.gov/vehicles-and-boats/vehicles/buying-and-selling-vehicle. Prefer to show at open DOL office in Spokane area but will consider other public locations. I will bring the current vehicle title and bill of sale. You bring a trip permit unless we meet at the DOL office. Cash preferred.
