Built 20 years ago for backup home/campsite 120v power source; never used except to test. Wood frame holds everything, can be moved around with hand-dolly. It's built to hold a heavy 150 Ah 12v. deep cycle battery, which you could keep charged from [auto | truck | other] alternator via its normal battery connection. Or, if your vehicle alternator is powerful enough (100+ A), you could eliminate the massive deep cycle batt. and connect the large charging wires to the alternator output, or the auto battery for low loads [engine stays running of course]. The Vector 3000 Watt Power Inverter VEC051 would convert your 12v DC to 120v AC. output via 4 normal AC outlets. 3000 W continuous, 6000 W surge capacity.
Parts included are all pictured: heavy charging cables (#1 to 3/0); 400 amp fuse; ammeter to measure discharge current (could show both charge & discharge if rewired); like-new inverter. Inverter got decent user reviews when made, but wasn't a high-end product even then -- probably good for intermittent backup / camping purposes. I can send more details about it -- user manual for it is online too.
