Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Restaurant Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, ensure food safety standards are met, and support the kitchen staff in delivering high-quality meals. Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to menu specifications and recipes
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
Support cooking processes by handling basic food preparation tasks
Help with menu planning and ingredient inventory management
Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health regulations
Assist with catering orders and special event meal preparations
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and high customer satisfaction
Qualifications
Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service is preferred
Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Experience with menu planning, catering, and serving is advantageous
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Kitchen or culinary experience within the food industry is highly desirable
