I am looking to find the right home for two female Halfmoon Conures with sweet personalities and great potential. I'm pretty upset I need to rehome them... but they were sold incorrectly to me and never disease tested. To add, they seem healthy and eat good. They're active and bright eyed.
About Them:
ABV+ (any other birds in the home must also be ABV+) Must also have an established avian vet
Not fully tame yet, but showing gentle and affectionate behaviors
Personality Details:
Pinker-beaked female: 3 years.
Very talkative and curious. She says “hi” and “hello,” makes cute rambling sounds, and whistles small tunes. She shows strong potential to tame down quickly, especially if housed separately from the other conure.
More black-beaked female: 2 years. More laid back and shy. She’s cautious but observant and slowly warming up to people. With patience, she could become very sweet and personable. She also talks a bit.
Behavior Notes:
Not hand-tame at this time, but they will gently “kiss” through the cage bars, nibble fingers softly, and make kissy noises.
They can be quite loud at times, so experience with conures or parrots is strongly recommended.
They will need to go to an only-bird household due to their ABV+ status or with other ABV+ birds in the household.
Please answer these questions when messaging about them.
1 - Do you have an established avian vet?
2 - Are there other birds in the house?
3 - Do you have conure and/or parrot experience?
4 - These 2 can be extremely loud sometimes. A couple times a day. Not all day. Can you handle loud calls that last for a few minutes sometimes?
5 - Where are you located?
6 - Do you have 2 cages?
I'm happy to help get you in the correct setups for them if interested. Can go together or not. Rehoming will be discussed only when questions are answered.
