Steel shipping container cold storage conversion
8' wide
8' tall
20' long
10" thick insulation foam on walls
12" thick insulation on ceiling and doors
This cold storage was nestled in the woods, was fully draped with thick 6mil plastic, had dirt piled up to the roof line, plywood was then laid across the roof and had about 6" or dirt put on the plywood. It stayed above freezing all winter and would get up to about 55 in the heat of summer. I have a portable AC with an exhaust vent that I was going to install in it for summers to get the temps down around 40. With how insulated it is I doubt it will take much power consumption to maintain around 40° temps
Has a bunch of shelves inside but I'm keeping the metal shelving. All the wood shelving can stay with the container.
