Colville apiary offering 10-frame Langstroth hives from locally-bred stock — queens new in April and May 2026 in single 10 frame deeps. No southern packages, no shipped-in bees. If you've lost packages or struggled with CA/GA bees up here, the difference is real. All bees are Carniolans.

Each hive includes:
10 deep Langstroth frames: ~ 10 frames brood (eggs, larvae, capped), honey/pollen, and frames of drawn comb with bees.
Laying queen from local stock (unmarked) — open-mated.
One Deep Brood Super. You will receive the deep super with a bottom board and a top board, screwed on for ease of removal to add more supers and frames on top. (It is suggested that you add frames and supers right away as these hives have been quite voracious and are FULL OF BEES).
$395 cash on delivery. Delivery will be planned in advance for pick up at North 40, They have plenty of beekeeping equipment for sale if you need it. My hives have screens and vents already installed in them with rotating entryways. When you arrange for a pick-up date, the night before I will go out to the apiary and close the “front door” at around midnight, so all foragers have returned for the night. I prefer meetings for pick-up be in the mornings so the girls can get to their new home and get acquainted with their new surroundings.
If you are looking into buying hives, I presume you already know about the benefits of becoming a beekeeper and storing your own local honey. You can’t get any more local than your own back yard.
