Here’s the last chicken/poultry tractor, dog kennel, rabbit pen, or shelter for goats or lamb you’ll ever need…unless you need multiple. They are 8'2" wide, 12'10" long, and 5'10" tall (in the center). The door is 3' wide and 5'4" tall.
100% steel structure with fully welded frame and cattle panels not only welded to frame but also each other. The door, hinges, and latch(es) are welded. Every corner is reinforced as well as optional steel bucket hangers on the side(s) of the door. Welded metal handles on both ends. The optional welded wire utility fencing is cut and wrapped around the edges and where necessary metal ties are used... I think you’re getting the picture. The only thing that isn't metal is the lightweight canvas installed with regular zip ties so the canvas can be replaced more easily when needed.
It is designed to be mobile, with handles (welded of course) on both ends. Weight is between 200 & 300 lbs. Two people can drag it around, or preferably, I have pulled it around with my riding mower, golf cart, or tractor. I usually use my small tractor and go slow so the chickens/turkeys can be left in there, moving every few days to give them fresh grass to forage.
An optional second piece of channel iron, as shown in this one, is 16” from the back for nesting boxes to be built on so they will move with the tractor. The roost is attached with quick chain links so it can be easily moved or removed. If using it for dogs and digging is a concern, cattle panels can be welded as a floor. ***SEE ABOVE SALE*** Prices starting at $1200 for the basic structure with cattle panels (excl. floor). Additional options are welded wire utility fencing ($200), 3’ tall chicken wire to keep chicks in ($100; must be added with utility fencing), lightweight canvas covering ($130 as shown, but customizable), bucket hangers ($15 each), additional channel ($30 each), and cattle panel floor ($250). Each one is made to order with approximately 1-2 week lead time (pre-built/ready to go units sometimes available).
