I have a lovely BCM rooster, originating from Cedar Hill Marans from shipped eggs last summer. I used him to get the first chicks on the ground this year, but as he is related by sire to my hens, I don't want to continue to line breed. He is a good all around rooster, kind to hens, good with chicks and broody hens that are housed all together and tolerant of Silkie roosters and the main rooster too. I am not giving him away, because he is purebred, she is a good future flock rooster and came from a dark egg line from east coast but also not charging what he has actually cost me so far, as I want him to find a new home. Some roosters are not deserving but he is, if he wasn't such a good boy that loves his humans and all flock members. I have attached the egg color pictures that his sisters are producing for reference of his line.
