I have 5 mottled houdans for sale. They are friendly and beautiful! They are mid molt rn, so their crests aren't quite as fluffy as normal, but they are beautiful and great pets. I believe 3 are hens, and 2 are roosters. They get along with other chickens - but you should be aware that because they have such big beautiful crested hair, other chickens without crests sometimes become jealous and peck at them - mostly if theyre hungry/bored.
They have been living with my polish, but with them getting so big, we are running short on space. They were hatched by me and have proper 5 toe houdan feet. :)
They were hatched on 09/23/2025, so are about 3 months old. They will begin laying eggs at 4-5 months old, and you should expect medium large white eggs. The two roosters have not begun to crow yet, but their crests are wider so I am pretty sure that those two are roosters.
All of my chickens have been hatched by me and have no contact with outside chickens/flocks.
