I got ripped off for 400$. The gearbox is fine but the blades hit the deck and I don't want sparks I took off the stump plate bold it was stripped. I tried to work on it but gave up.

Cutting the tips off the blades may help and weld a nut on the stump plate. I'm asking 100$ obo
