Hello! We are a quiet, professional couple relocating to the North Idaho area from overseas and we are looking for a rural space for up to 12 months, starting 1 September 2026 to call home while we look for the right piece of land or a home to build our new homestead. We have started this process with Chelsea McFarland as our agent already.A piece of rural, private land, an unzoned lot, or a portion of a larger acreage would be ideal. Our Ideal Setup Needs:Power: A reliable 220V single-phase hookup (for camper and light hobby tool use).Water: Access to a well or water hookup.Septic: Hook up for our camper. ( A large fifth wheel toy hauler or large bumper pull camper)Storage Footprint: Enough flat ground to park the above camper plus one 40-foot shipping container and one 20-foot shipping container.Indoor Workspace: An indoor workspace (barn or shed, etc.) would be handy but is not a requirement.Location: North of Rathdrum to north of Sandpoint and from Priest River and Blanchard to Cocolalla. Unincorporated Kootenai or Bonner County preferred to ensure compliance with local placement rules. We are highly respectful, tidy, and self-sufficient. We will need permission to perform maintenance and complete a few small automotive related projects. We are planning well in advance to secure the right fit and can provide excellent character and financial references upon request. We will have a skid steer with attachments and a container full of tools and would be happy to barter work at an hourly rate for the space, too.Budget: Up to $800/month plus metered electricity. If you have an underutilised portion of land, a farm, or a property with a shop that could accommodate us, we would love to hear from you. We are happy to arrange a video call to introduce ourselves. We can also give you our business website to see we are legitimate, etc. Thank you for your time!
