I have a 1982 Ford CL9000 cabover rolloff truck with a Cummins big cam 400 and 13 speed overdrive transmission tandem axle with super low miles.
Has a very nice roll-off hydraulics setup. It is a continuous chain roll off superior to a cable roll off in several ways. Has an auto tarp system and two extra remote valves for anything that would need hydraulics such as a compactor or anything else that needs hydraulics.
Some recent service done including engine oil and filter, transmission fluid change, hub oil change, hydraulic filter, power steering fluid change, air filter, chain lube, grease all points, and functionality check of all components.
This truck only has 187k miles on it and is a great running truck. Truck has 12R-22.5 tires all around and they are all in serviceable shape. Fronts pretty good, rears have good tread but some weathering. Truck has tons of power. Does have a block heater for easy starting in cold weather.
Most everything on the truck works and the few things that don't work are things I've been able to live without. The a/c doesn't work and has lines missing so I don't know how hard it would be to fix. The tarp valve is missing the spring that returns the valve to center. The tarp has a tear in it for the first few feet.
Aluminum cab is in pretty good shape. Headliner is missing and the paint is kinda rough. Otherwise cab is functional besides a few gauges I haven't bothered looking into the most important ones all work.
Recently cleaned truck top to bottom. Re-painted engine, chassis, and non cab parts.
Data plate shows 46,000lb GVWR so class 8 CDL truck. Must have CDL or farm exempt to operate this truck.
Plans change. I originally bought this truck to use as a dump truck and rollback.
I do not have any beds/containers set up for the truck so this ad is for the truck as pictured.
This truck is set up for 20' and shorter beds.
Air system has small leaks typical for the age but no major leaks and the system builds air very fast. Has 3 air tanks for extra capacity. Brakes feel great and are about 75% fronts and 40% rears.
This is not a perfect truck but can be put right to use. If I were to keep it I'd paint the cab, install headliner, and fix the other gauges while using the truck as it is ready to work.
Main windows work, wing windows feel like the mechanism needs to be cleaned and re-greased but are stuck shut for the moment.
