This machine has been the 'Reliable Workhorse' for the past 12 years, I have owned it.
This is a great machine for someone who doesn't wish to spend a lot of money, yet needs a machine on their property for occasional use.
It can be cold hearted when it's cold outside, but starts easily when prewarmed a bit, always starts and has never let me down. Has been indispensable tool for my property...Using the forks to move pallets, lumber and large objects, digging ditches, moving dirt, snow removal and plowing.
This is a great machine for someone who doesn't wish to spend a lot of money, yet needs a machine on their property for occasional use.
Strong Runner: Engine, transmission, and hydraulics function as they should. Engine has some blowby.
I have changed the engine oil and all filters annually.
I’ve put an estimated 250 hours on this machine, since I purchased it. Hour meter states 3109 hours, however since ignition switch was faulty, it has not registered hours since I owned it.
I yearly changed fuel/oil filters and engine oil.
Extras: Includes 11" & 22" backhoe buckets, forklift forks, tire snow chains, & Case 580CK 'Contractor King' Service Manual.
On the maintenance side of things (Honest Disclosure):
Hydraulics: Dipper cylinder weaps heavily and needs rebuilt,a couple others weep a bit as well.
Brakes: Are very weak, need adjustment or rebuild (I'm on a flat piece of land, I've gotten used to it...Though not saying one should'nt have great brakes).
Starts with a screwdriver (due to faulty ignition switch). Gauges/hour meter do not work (hour meter registers 3109 hours).
Condition: Tires are worn/cracked, fronts tires leak down over time. All pivots & bushings are worn & sloppy.
Previous owner did many 'fishplate' repairs (all have held up well during my time of ownership).
Seat upholstery is rough.
