Willow Wind Organic Farms is seeking 6 people to work in our packing facility from about the first week in July through September.
The work involves working in our refrigerated packing facility placing packed blueberries into cartons, stacking the cartons on pallets, wrapping, labeling and moving pallets into the cooler , emptying flats of blues into the sorting machinery, loading trucks and maintaining sanitation standards by cleaning and sanitizing the machinery each work day.
We generally work 3 to 5 days a week depending upon orders and ripening of the blues and the season runs from the beginning of July through late September or early October. Reliability is important as it puts a real strain on the pacck team if someone doesn't show up!
No experience is neccesary as we will train but we do need people with a history of showing up on time and working diligently. If one needs work beyond the pack season we may be able to offer some additional work at the farm operation but this is not guaranteed. we will also need a good forklift operator so experience with this will be handy. We really strive to maintain a pleasant work environment so we require that drama be left at the door! Be kind and work diligently to make the day better for all.
