Location: Spokane, WA
Schedule: Full-time Day shift, M–F
Pay: $23 per hour.
Status: Non-Union Position
Job Overview
West Coast Wire Rope & Rigging is hiring a Non-Union Entry-Level Shop / Rigging Technician to support our shop and rigging operations. This is a hands-on position for someone who is reliable, safety-focused, and interested in learning the rigging and lifting industry. Prior rigging experience is not required — we provide on-the-job training.
Essential Duties
• Assist with fabrication, inspection, and assembly of rigging products (wire rope slings, chain slings, synthetic slings, and related hardware)
• Use basic shop tools and equipment (training provided)
• Perform visual inspections, tagging, and documentation of rigging products
• Load, unload, and organize materials and finished goods
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
• Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and work instructions
• Support general shop and warehouse operations as assigned
Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred (Not Required)
• Previous shop, warehouse, construction, or industrial experience
• Forklift experience or willingness to be trained
• Basic math and measuring skills
