This breaks my heart to do this, but I unfortunately have to find a new home for my Bare-eyed cockatoo. I have developed severe allergies to him and it’s become dangerous to have him around me.
He is 4, has had at least 2 owners before me. He was free-flight trained and still does excellent with recall, but will need to have lots of trust built and be bonded with his new owner before he should go outside.
I will require him to go to a home that under no circumstances will clip his wings, and will allow him to still have lots of room to fly. Via aviary, large house or otherwise.
He is a very sweet and fun bird to his person, but generally only picks one person, so it would be ideal that he goes to someone who understands this.
He has shown aggression in the past to other cockatoos, so be aware of this. He either needs to be somewhere separate or with no other cockatoos entirely.
He LOOVES music, and will dance and rock out to anything. However keep in mind he is still a baby and will be easily overstimulated. Overstimulation in cockatoos often means biting. He has been known to fly at and bite people when he is overstimulated. Not too crazy about men in my experience.
He could and likely will improve as he gets older and the hormones decrease, but there is no guarantee, so he needs to go to a home prepared for housing a very cockatoo-like cockatoo.
He is not destructive to anything but his own toys. Loves to forage.
He must be kept on a high quality mostly fresh diet. This bird is very loved, and I will be incredibly picky.
Rehome fee applies. He isn’t free nor is he cheap.
Does not come with a cage but I can send him with some toys
