The space: You get a great little bedroom with nothing to worry about (queen bed, two dressers, and table) - you can rest enough after work! The room has ample storage in the closet area, and a great settled-in feeling. Only me in the common areas/bathroom, so it's never full or crazy.
What caught my eye: Scored some cool tick-boxes a typical rental often goes without. We have a whole house water system- so you get top of the line water at every faucet. While it does have a fully equipped kitchen suitable for real cooking (and not just taking microwave meals out of the freezer), you can also spend some time outside arguing together in the nice big yard.
I really love the large shed- perfect for all winter, summer outdoor items or bikes if you are cyclist. It's that kind of pragmatic value-add that you grow to love once you have it.
Everything included: Your $500 a month rent covers all expenses - utilities, dish network TV, Wifi and access to the laundry room. Not to mention the off-street parking — such a lifesaver for all those mornings that you know you won't have to search the great expanse of streets for a place to park.
Household: I am quiet and very clean, I do not smoke or drink or drugs, looking for someone who is likewise. I viewed each other sheepishly, maintaining the separation and privacy for which we all use in that setting. Think of it like having a nice neighbor as opposed to an annoying roommate.
Feel free to smoke or vape outside too, please just keep the inside air with a mask fresh for everyone.
Rent ($1100/month): This is a month-to-month, so if your situation changes you have flexibility. Only a $250 deposit to begin with.
Best for: A graduate student, working professional or anyone who is low-key and values a quiet, sober atmosphere with an older but stable housemate.
