Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious CDL Class A Oversize Load Driver to join our transportation team. In this vital role, you will operate large commercial vehicles specifically designed for hauling oversized loads, including Manufactured Homes. Your expertise in route driving, load & unload procedures, and adherence to safety standards will ensure timely and secure deliveries across diverse locations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills while contributing to the efficient movement of complex freight loads.
Duties
Safely operate tractor-trailers with oversize loads, ensuring compliance with all federal and state transportation regulations
Drive specialized trucks equipped for the Manufactured Home industry.
Plan and execute efficient routes for delivery and pickup of loads, maintaining punctuality and safety standards
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including manual transmission checks and safety features
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and law enforcement when necessary to coordinate deliveries or address issues on the road
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, load details, inspections, and delivery documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
Experience
Proven experience operating tractor-trailers with a valid CDL Class A license
Prior delivery driver experience handling oversized or specialized freight loads
Familiarity with driving various types of commercial trucks
Experience with route planning and navigation for long-distance or regional deliveries
Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently
Strong understanding of safety protocols related to oversized load transportation and cargo handling
