I live off grid and am in need of a few broody hens setting on eggs.
I will replace with the eggs with chicks including some endangered species.
I do not care about the age of the hens. Last time I did this the hens I used were 5 year old Bantams
I never intentionally kill or eat the hens, so if you are concerned about them, they are extremely likely to live, and will have free range once they have settled in.
